About this app

Is it your Wi-Fi, or is it your mobile network?

Most speed tests measure whatever connection your phone happens to be using and give you one number. That number cannot tell you where the problem is. Network Test Pro measures your Wi-Fi and your mobile network separately, scores each one, and shows you both side by side — so you know which of the two is letting you down.

TWO NETWORKS, MEASURED INDEPENDENTLY

Your phone can use Wi-Fi and mobile data at the same time, and they can be in completely different condition. A single test hides that. This app runs each one on its own connection, even while Wi-Fi stays connected, and gives each a clear score out of 100 along with a combined score.

A STRONG SIGNAL IS NOT A FAST NETWORK

Four bars and a slow connection is the most common complaint there is. Signal strength describes the link to your router or cell tower; it says nothing about what happens after that. Network Test Pro shows both, separately, so you can see when a perfect signal is sitting on top of a slow connection — and stop blaming the wrong thing.

WHAT IT MEASURES

Wi-Fi
• Network name and access point
• Signal strength in dBm
• Band: 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz or 6 GHz
• Channel and channel width
• Wi-Fi generation: Wi-Fi 4 to Wi-Fi 7
• Link speed, IP address and gateway

Mobile
• Operator and network generation: 4G, 4G+, 5G
• RSRP signal level
• RSRQ signal quality
• SINR signal to noise ratio
• Cell identifier, PCI and band

Performance, on each network
• Download speed
• Upload speed
• Latency
• Jitter
• Packet loss
• Whether the internet is actually reachable

BUILT TO BE READ IN A SECOND

A number and a word up front. Every reading behind it, for when you want the detail. Tap either network to see everything your device reports, including a breakdown of exactly how its score was calculated.

CONNECTED IS NOT THE SAME AS ONLINE

A Wi-Fi network can be connected and still have no working internet. Network Test Pro reports those as two separate facts, so a captive portal or a dead router is obvious instead of mysterious.

YOUR RESULTS STAY ON YOUR PHONE

No account. No sign-up. No login.

Network names, signal readings and results are stored on your device and are not uploaded to us. We run no server that receives them. Saving your location with a test is off by default and only happens if you switch it on yourself. Clear your history at any time, or uninstall the app and everything it stored goes with it.

HONEST ABOUT MOBILE DATA

Measuring mobile speed transfers real data, and that counts against your plan. The app tells you how much a run may use before the first test, caps how much it will transfer, lets you choose a low data mode, and reports exactly how much was used afterwards.

PREMIUM

One-time purchase. No subscription.

• Test history — your last 25 runs, named and compared
• Settings — test server, data limits and test duration
• No banner ads
• No full screen ads

Every measurement feature is available to everyone. Nothing about the testing itself is held back.

ABOUT THE RESULTS

Results are indicative, not certified measurements. Speed and latency depend on the distance to the test server, its load, your device, other traffic on your network and conditions at that moment, so two runs will rarely agree exactly. Signal values are supplied by Android and vary between manufacturers; a blank field means your device did not report it, not that the value is zero.

Android requires location permission before it will reveal a Wi-Fi network name or cell identity to any app. Granting it does not mean your position is stored.

What’s new

New
• Live keeps running when you switch tabs, and pauses while the app is closed
• Pocket mode: a black screen that ignores touches during a Live session
• Scores shown out of 100 – tap a score to see what it means
• 3G and 2G: signal shown without a made-up score
• Server check when you save it, and packet loss when the server supports it

Improvements
• Warning when upload is very slow
• Server address cleaned up when pasted
• Buttons moved up, right under the scores
