About this app

cloudGPS Tracker turns a work phone into a GPS tracker of the cloudGPS telematics platform. It is made for employees of companies that use cloudGPS: field staff, couriers, service engineers, security guards.

How it works
• Your administrator gives you a QR code or a link. Scan the code or open the link on the phone, and the phone is connected to your company's account.
• Turn on data sending when you start work. The app sends your location in the background, also with the screen off, and resumes after the phone restarts.
• Turn data sending off at any time. While it is off, your location is not collected.

What you see in the app
• A map with your position and the time of the last point
• Battery, network and sending status: everything is sent, or how many points are waiting for the network
• An SOS button: hold it for 2 seconds to send an alarm to your company

Gentle on the battery
The app sends points often while you move and rarely while you stand still, uses motion detection and keeps points without a network to send them later.

Privacy
Your location is sent only to your company's cloudGPS account, encrypted, and is never used for advertising. A notification is always shown while data sending is on.

The app works only with a connection code from a cloudGPS administrator.

What’s new

Walking tracks: GPS works while you walk, and trips and walks are recognized separately. Trip start and end are more accurate, and leaving the vehicle is detected by your steps. The notification shows mode, today's distance and steps, and time at work. While parked, the app checks location less often and uses less battery.
