Kortext provides access to online and offline eBooks from multiple publishers, with enhanced in-built audio and video content, combined with tools to assist learners and academics to make the most of the content.
Features include:
- Easy navigation to content, providing quick access to pages
- Highlight extracts in a range of colours, enabling quick reference of key sections
- Add notes to content and share via email or OneNote, allowing notes from different books to be collated in one area
- Add a reference (Harvard or APA), making creation of bibliographies much easier
- Read Aloud sections, providing help with accessing content
- Increase text size, making it easier to view content

Ratings and reviews

The app is nice and I especially enjoy the read aloud feature. However, the voices could use a few more choices, the way they pick up following paragraph or headline to it as though it's part of the end of the previous context is distracting. Additionally, the fact that the page completly reverts to the library of books when you click on a glossary word is frustrating. You can't get back to the page you were on with the back button

I utilize digital copies of books for school so I can listen to them, Kortext has been the least user friendly platform I have been forced to use. It doesn't read half of what's on the page, it skips around the page or just flat out doesn't read anything. I'm extremely frustrated that I have to use this platform for the next five months to finish out my semester. I do not recommend this app to anyone. The website is only better by a smidge, but even that struggles on the regular.

The app is frustrating and a huge time waster. For one thing, when you are trying to highlight in the textbook, it will randomly scroll you through multiple pages, making you lose your spot and waste your time. There is no way to disable this. Secondly, the "reader" in the app does not work and will only TTS a few highlighted words and not even a paragraph at a time. It is extremely disappointing and frustrating for an active student.
