About this app

Clypy remembers everything you copy and makes it available on every device you own privately. Copy a link on your laptop and paste it on your phone. Copy an address on your phone and paste it on your desktop. Everything is encrypted on your device before it syncs, and Clypy holds no key that can read it.

WHAT YOU GET
• Searchable clipboard history — every clip you save is kept locally, unlimited, with no clip cap and no account. History older than 90 days clears itself by default, and you choose the retention period.
• Search by meaning — find "that wifi password from the rental" without remembering the exact words. Semantic search runs on your device.
• Text from screenshots — Clypy reads text inside images you save, so screenshots become searchable and pasteable. Runs on-device.
• Typed clips — links, text, codes, images, files, and secrets are detected, colour-coded, and previewed, so you scan your history instead of reading it.
• Detected secrets stay concealed — passwords, keys, and tokens are hidden behind a biometric prompt and can be set to expire early.
• Collections — group clips by project, client, or trip.
• Templates and snippets — reusable text with fill-in fields for the replies, addresses, and blocks you type constantly.
• Paste stack — queue several clips and paste them one after another in order.
• Transforms — clean up a clip before you paste it: change case, strip formatting, convert a colour, tidy a URL.

• App exclusions — name apps whose copies Clypy should never capture.

HOW SAVING WORKS ON A PHONE
Android restricts background clipboard access, and Clypy respects that. Clips are saved when the app is open, when you use the Clypy keyboard, when you share into Clypy, or when you use Process Text. Clypy does not read your clipboard invisibly in the background, and battery optimisation on some vendor ROMs may limit background sync until you exempt the app.

PRIVACY, PLAINLY
• No Clypy account, no profile, no password.
• Clips, search indexes, and encryption keys stay on your devices.
• Sync is end-to-end encrypted. Devices talk directly over your own network when they can reach each other; otherwise an encrypted relay forwards ciphertext between online devices and keeps no backlog.
• All intelligence — semantic search, text recognition, classification, secret detection — runs on your hardware. Your clips are never used to train AI models.
• Optional encrypted backups to your own Google Drive, restored only when you ask.
• Usage analytics are off unless you turn them on, and never include clip content.

THE ONE THING TO KNOW
Because Clypy cannot read your clips, Clypy cannot recover them for you. If every paired device and every recovery key is lost, that history is gone. Keep one healthy paired device or a backup with its recovery key.
