About this app

Most security apps stop at the point something goes wrong. This one keeps going.

CMS SecureMe checks where you and the people you care about are exposed, tells you what to do about it in plain English, and stays with you through the part that comes after, reporting it, proving it, and getting your money back.

What it checks

A security score built from six things that actually predict harm: whether your email has turned up in a data breach, how your passwords hold up, whether two-factor is switched on where it matters, how your phone is set up, what your social accounts are telling strangers, and your phone number.

Every answer expires. Settings drift, apps reset them on update, and a checklist ticked six months ago describes a phone that has had six months of updates since. The app asks again rather than pretending the old answer still holds.

What to do about it

An action plan, ordered by what reduces risk most, in language that assumes nothing. Step-by-step guides that take you straight to the setting on each platform rather than telling you to go and find it.

Tools for the moment you need them: a password generator, an encrypted vault for recovery codes, a phishing checker, a link checker, a text-message checker and a Wi-Fi check.

Checking that carries on without you

A breach check tells you about today. SecureMe Protect keeps going: SecureMe Watch reviews your email addresses every day and tells you when one of them turns up in a new breach, while the app is closed and without you remembering to look. One plan covers everyone on it, not one person on one phone.

If it already went wrong

This is the part other apps do not have.

Guided incident response, so you know what to do first and what can wait. Your rights to reimbursement after an authorised push payment scam, sourced to the Payment Systems Regulator rules and stated without predicting your outcome. The UK reporting routes that actually apply, including Police Scotland.

The guidance, the numbers and the checklist are free and always will be. What the breach response pack adds is the document at the end of it: both letters, your calls, the deadlines and your evidence in one file you can hand to your bank.

The identity exposure kit does the same job for identity theft — your route to the three statutory credit reports and to Cifas Protective Registration, with the reference kept here and a reminder before it runs out. The reports are free from the agencies and Cifas charges its own fee; the app opens their form rather than applying for you.

For the whole family

A plan for one, or a household of six — or ten if the family is bigger. See how everyone is doing without seeing anything private: what your family shares is sealed with a key we cannot use. Get told when someone's score drops or they have not checked in — the part that matters if you are the one your parents ring.

Digital Estate is a list of your accounts, so the people you trust can find them. It is not a legal will and decides nothing about who inherits what.

What we do not do

We are not antivirus. We do not scan for malware or viruses, we are not a VPN, and we do not filter your traffic or block calls. Plenty of apps do those things.

When a checker cannot establish that something is safe, it says so instead of guessing. "We cannot tell" is a real answer here, and you will see it.

Privacy

No advertising SDKs. No third-party analytics. No trackers. We do not sell your data and we do not hold anything worth selling.

Your audit answers and your vault stay on your phone. What leaves it is listed in full, in plain English, in the app.
See where you are exposed, fix it in plain English, get help if a scam hits.
