Ho’okele - in the ever changing digital world we live in, parenting digital natives is hard. It’s a full time job on top of everything else that needs doing.
Ho’okele is the Hawaiian word for navigator and the app is designed to help parents navigate the digital world with a view to understanding how to put guard rails in place, how to set boundaries and what keep changing with new platforms, apps and functionality. Ho’okele is a parent’s go to resource to quickly and effectively stay up to date with a world that they find hard to relate to but their children are digital citizens of.
Within the app parents will find hundreds of pieces of content in video form, pdf form and blog posts.
Each of the pieces of content are created to help parents understand the topic quickly and more importantly put the learning into practice.
For years parents have asked us to hold parent workshops to show them how to setup parental controls on tablets, mobile devices, gaming consoles and laptops but trying to do that at scale proved hard for a number of reasons. The content delivered in Ho’okele is designed for parents to have at their finger tips and be able to watch, pause, re-watch and implement at their own speed.
Ho’okele - the parent companion app to stay up to date with the digital world.
