AR Measure Kit: Tape & Volume

Pinetech ITS

About this app

Turn your phone into a tape measure, area calculator and parcel sizer. AR Measure Kit uses augmented reality (ARCore) to measure real objects and spaces straight from the camera view — no tape, no helper, no typing.

Aim the crosshair at a point, tap Add, and the app reads the distance from several camera frames and averages them. A live outline with length labels is drawn over the camera image so you can see exactly what was measured before you save it.

12 MEASURING TOOLS

Everyday
• Tape measure — point-to-point distance, chain several points for a running total
• Height — floor to any point: a person, a shelf, a doorway, the ceiling

Home & DIY
• Room & floor — walk the corners of any room shape for floor area, perimeter and ceiling height, then get wall area, paint litres, tile count, flooring area, skirting length and concrete/screed volume
• Wall, door & window — width × height and area, with paint and tile estimates
• Curtains & blinds — window size plus rail length, fabric width and curtain drop

Carpentry
• Angle & square — corner angle, miter cut angle, and how far a corner is out of 90°
• Slope & level — gradient in degrees, percent and 1:n ratio with rise and run, for ramps, stairs and drains

Shipping & storage
• Box & parcel — length × width × height, volume, and courier volumetric weight (÷4000, ÷5000 or ÷6000)
• Cylinder & tank — diameter, circumference, height and capacity in litres or gallons

Clothing & body
• Shirt / top and Trousers — lay the garment flat and measure chest, length, shoulders, sleeve, waist, hip, inseam and more
• Body — height, shoulder width, arm length and inseam of a standing person

SAVE, SHARE, EXPORT
• Save any measurement with a name and a note
• Share a measurement as text to WhatsApp, email or notes
• Export your whole history as a CSV spreadsheet
• Metric (cm / m) or imperial (in / ft) — switch any time

HOW ACCURATE IS IT?
AR measuring is an estimate, not a replacement for a tape. On a typical phone at 0.5–1.5 m you can expect about ±1–2 cm per point; results are best on detected surfaces (green crosshair) and in good light. Always check critical cuts, orders and shipping quotes with a physical measure.

REQUIREMENTS
• An ARCore-supported Android phone (Google Play Services for AR is installed automatically)
• Camera permission, used only while measuring. No photos or video are stored or uploaded.
• No account, no sign-in, no ads. Your measurements stay on your device.

This application runs on ARCore, which is provided by Google LLC and governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
