AccessibilityService API — transparency (required disclosure)

KidSpy uses the Android AccessibilityService API on the child’s device as part of parent-managed screen time and app restrictions. Specifically, AccessibilityService is used to detect when restricted apps open during active parental limits so KidSpy can enforce those limits (for example, by returning to the home screen and showing KidSpy’s lock/limit screen when a restricted app is launched while limits apply). KidSpy does not use AccessibilityService to change settings without permission, bypass Android privacy controls or notifications, record phone calls or remote audio, or alter the interface in a deceptive way. AccessibilityService is not used as a substitute for narrower APIs where those are sufficient for other features; it is used where Android requires this capability for consistent enforcement of parental limits on foreground apps during locked periods.
