About this app

Aein (愛人, "beloved") is a camera that captures the one you love like a roll of 90s film.

Pick a film, press the shutter, and wait. Your photo develops on its own.
Today's you, kept as one photo to treasure for a long time.

■ Choose an episode and shoot
Turn the dial around the shutter to pick today's film. Like episodes of a drama, each scene carries a different light.
· Ep.0 Natural — as they are, only the highlights softened
· Ep.1 First Snow — cool, pale winter light
· Ep.2 Way Home — amber sunset glow
· Ep.3 Sunday Afternoon — a warm afternoon in pink and apricot
· Ep.4 Letter from the Sea — teal sea, the color of a faded letter
· Ep.5 Rainy Bus Stop — cool gray-blue, quiet rain
· Final Episode — black and white, only the expression and the light remain

■ 24 shots a day
Like one roll of film, you can take only 24 shots a day. A photo taken with care stays with you longer. After midnight, a fresh roll is loaded.

■ Developed automatically
After you shoot, stay in the camera and the photo develops in the background, then saves to the "Aein" album in your phone gallery. Film color and grain, soft light bloom, even the orange date stamp.

■ Skin stays true
However cool or warm the filter, the face keeps its natural tone. Face detection runs only on your device.

■ Re-develop with another episode
Photos taken within the last 90 days can be re-developed with a different episode from the thumbnails below the picture and saved as a new photo. The original stays untouched.

■ Your photos never leave your device
No sign-up, no server, no ads. Every photo is created and stored on your phone only.
