About this app

Codewaala is the learning app of CodeShaala by TechWave Academy. Students from Grade 1 to Grade 12 learn to code step by step, practise maths through coding, compete in friendly daily contests and turn their own ideas into games with AI.

Use the same account as codewaala.com. Everything you do in the app shows on the website too, and the other way round.

LEARN TO CODE, WEEK BY WEEK
• A full coding course for every grade, from "think like a computer" in Grade 1 to real Python projects in the senior grades
• Short lessons that explain, show and then let you try
• Write and run real Python right inside the lesson. Nothing to install
• Stars, progress rings and "continue where you left off" keep you going

CODERLAND: MATHS THROUGH CODING
• NCERT maths chapters for Grades 1 to 12, taught with code
• Lessons, practice and a short test for every concept
• See which chapters are done and which are next

CODEBATTLES
• A fresh contest every evening at 8 PM IST, with five problems from easy to hard
• Practise any time, earn points and climb your school's leaderboard
• An optional reminder before the contest starts

CODESHAALA AI
• Describe a game or app in your own words and AI builds it for you
• "Make it yours" choices let you change colours, sounds and rules
• Builds open in a safe, separate preview
• Every AI reply has a Report button

FOR TEACHERS AND PRINCIPALS
• Create classes and add students with a school code, username and PIN
• See class progress and each student's lessons, chapters and battles
• Reset a student's PIN in seconds
• Principals get an overview of every teacher and class

SAFE FOR CHILDREN
• No ads, ever
• No tracking across apps or websites
• Under-18s who sign up on their own need a parent's approval by email (India's DPDP Act, 2023)
• Parents can download, correct or delete a child's data at any time
• Names on leaderboards are shown as first name and last initial
• Students at a school sign in with a school code and PIN, with no email or phone needed

HOW TO SIGN IN
• School students: use the school code, username and PIN your teacher gives you
• Independent students: sign up with your email (a parent approves if you are under 18)
• Teachers and principals: use your codewaala.com email and password
