About this app

FOLIO is the PDF reader that lets you sign with your Costa Rican digital signature card directly from your Android tablet or phone. Connect the card reader via USB, draw the signature box on the page, and enter your PIN. No additional drivers or software installation is required.

Advanced Digital Signature
• PAdES-LTA signature, the long-term signature level accepted by GAUDI, which remains valid even after the certificate expires.

• Visible seal with your name, ID number, and date, with a customizable design: font, colors, logo, border, and signature.

• SINPE timestamp and OCSP and CRL evidence embedded in the document.

• Batch signing: select multiple PDFs and sign them all at once with a single PIN.

• Also signs with IDs in .p12 files.

• Compatible with both previous and new generation BCCR cards.

Validation like in GAUDI
• Double-tap a stamp to see who signed, when, with which certificate, and whether the document is still intact.

• Validate entire folders of signed documents.

Full Reader
• Tabs, thumbnails, text search, zoom, rotate, and full screen.

• Rulers in centimeters or inches and a dot-matrix canvas.

• Recent, signed, and favorites, with access to your folders.

Annotate and Fill
• Highlighter, pen, and text notes that are saved within the PDF.

• Forms: Fill in text fields, boxes, and lists.

• Watermark, pagination, flattening, and page extraction.

Privacy
• The PIN is used only to communicate with the card and is never saved.

• Your documents never leave the device. It only connects to the internet for timestamping, certificate verification, and licensing.

FOLIO is also available for macOS, Windows, iPad, and iPhone. One license works across all platforms. Includes a free trial period.

Requirements: Android 8.0 or higher, a CCID-compatible USB card reader, and a USB-C adapter or port with device support (USB host).
