Next Forty is a startup investing game and life simulator you play one card at a time. Every year a new deck lands on the table: companies raising money, career moves, life decisions and whatever the economy throws at you. There is no undo, just like real life.

Think like a startup investor
- A hundred startups, each with its own pitch deck, financials, current demand and a Q&A tab for your due diligence
- Back a company or pass, then live with that call for years
- Follow every stake to its ending: an IPO, a buyout offer, a secondary sale or a shutdown
- Hold, sell or wait for a better offer

Your life, simulated
- Create your character, set a target for forty and pick three life goals: own a home, start a family, see the world and more
- Climb from junior to director, switch jobs, join a startup for a lower salary and equity, or quit and invest full time
- A wedding, a baby, burnout, a tax audit, an inheritance: every year asks you something new

Beat inflation, read the cycle
- The economy moves through booms, bubbles, crashes and recoveries
- Inflation changes every year and quietly eats idle cash
- Open bank deposits, lock in a rate, take a mortgage or pay it off early
- Your city grows on the map as your net worth grows

The finale at forty
The run ends on your fortieth birthday, or sooner if you go bankrupt. The finale weighs what you built: a wealth tier from Apprentice to Legend, the life goals you reached and one Next Forty score to beat on your next run.
