Driving or cycling in Taiwan, the biggest fear is leaving home to find yourself stuck in traffic. NationCCTV, a real-time traffic monitoring application, allows you to see the actual traffic conditions on your phone before you even leave home.

🗺 Nationwide CCTV Map Overview

Open the app, and the map is covered with numerous camera markers across Taiwan, encompassing many monitoring points along county and city roads, provincial highways, and expressways. When zooming in, the system automatically groups nearby cameras together for a clear view; zooming in at the street level reveals the exact location of each camera.

📹 One-Click Live Footage
Clicking on any camera marker immediately loads the live stream of that CCTV camera in a pop-up window. Whether it's a JPEG stream from a network camera, an HTML5 video playback page, or the dedicated video systems of various county and city transportation bureaus, the app automatically recognizes them and presents them in a WebView. If some cameras experience connection problems, a prompt will automatically appear on the screen, providing a "Reset" button for quick retrying without the need for manual closing and reopening.

⭐ Favorite Cameras Have you found the most important cameras on your daily commute? Click the favorite icon in the upper right corner of the pop-up window to add them to your favorites list (up to 5 cameras). On the favorites page, live feeds from all your frequently used cameras will be displayed in a row, allowing you to instantly grasp the status quo of your most important intersections without having to search on the map again. You can add or remove cameras from your favorites list at any time for flexible management.

📍 Precise Location, Find Nearby Traffic Press the location button in the lower right corner, and the map will automatically move to your current location and display your position as a marker. Combined with nearby CCTV markers, you can quickly find cameras near your home or office, check live traffic conditions in your direction of exit, and decide which route is the most time-efficient.
