About this app

Open Taipei Traffic Monitor, tap an intersection, and instantly see live video feed. Check before you leave home, or take precautions during traffic jams – all in one go!

【Main Functions】

Find intersections on the map, tap to view live video

The map aggregates numerous intersection monitor icons. Zooming in on a specific area automatically splits the view into individual intersections. Tap any intersection icon, and the screen will automatically zoom in and display live video of that intersection – no more guessing where it is! How to: Open the map → Tap the intersection icon (or first tap the cluster to zoom in and split) → View live video directly.

Favorite intersections for easy access next time

Add frequently used intersections (on your way to work, drop-off/pick-up, or home) to your favorites. No need to search for them on the map every time; simply open Taipei Traffic Monitor and view their live video feed directly in "My Favorites." How to: Tap the heart icon on the live video feed → Automatically add to favorites. You can favorite up to 5 intersections.

My Favorites List: Swipe left to delete, pull down to organize

Managing your favorites list is simple: If you no longer want to track a particular intersection, swipe left to remove it. If you accidentally swipe, a "Restore" option will appear at the bottom of the screen, so you don't have to worry about accidental swiping. To rearrange all your favorite intersections at once, simply pull down the entire list. Operation: Swipe left to remove an item → or directly pull down the list to rearrange.

Map Overlay with Real-Time Traffic Colors

In addition to real-time traffic images of individual intersections, the map also uses colors to indicate current traffic conditions. No need to turn on monitors one by one; just check the colors to get a general idea of how congested it will be today.

Dark Mode, Comfortable at Night

When the system switches to dark mode, Taipei Traffic Update will automatically switch accordingly, so you won't be blinded by the screen brightness when checking traffic before heading out at night.

【Usage Scenarios】

Whether you want to check traffic conditions at your usual intersections before commuting, confirm the route home before leaving work, or check road conditions before picking up family, Taipei Traffic Monitor lets you take a few seconds to glance at the traffic before leaving home, giving you a general idea of the situation.

【Features and Differentiation】

Unlike apps that only display color-coded traffic indicators, Taipei Traffic Monitor connects directly to real-time video feeds from intersection surveillance cameras, showing you not just a color-coded "probably congested" indication, but the actual view of the intersection at that moment. The favorites function allows you to manage several frequently used intersections simultaneously, eliminating the need to search for the same location on the map every time.

【Conclusion】

Next time you head out, open Taipei Traffic Monitor and save your frequently used intersections for a more informed decision.
Taipei Traffic Update: Tap on the map to instantly view real-time traffic camera footage at intersections, save frequently visited intersections, and check them with peace of mind before heading out.
