Old Video Camera turns your phone into an 80s camcorder. The soft, wobbly look of a worn tape is applied while you record, so the file you save is already finished. There is nothing to edit afterwards.
A CAMERA, NOT AN EDITOR
- The retro look is written into the video as you shoot, not added later
- Five aspect ratios: 4:3, 3:4, 1:1, 16:9, 9:16 - switched with a button
- Front and rear camera, plus a T/W zoom rocker like the old decks had
- No account, no sign-up, works offline
THE ANALOG LOOK
- Colors bleed sideways, the way magnetic tape handled color
- Scan lines drift, a tracking band rolls slowly, the bottom edge tears
- Grain sits in the picture instead of a clean digital image
- Audio takes on the narrow, wavering tone of a linear tape track
DATE STAMP AND READOUTS
- Burn the date into the video, with the time or without it
- Camcorder style REC dot, battery and zoom bar in the viewfinder
- Every control answers with an old mechanical click
