HOW THE 90/180 RULE WORKS

Visitors may spend up to 90 days in the Schengen Area within any rolling 180-day period. The window is counted backwards from the date being checked, and both entry and exit days count. Schengen Calculator applies this published European method to every calculation.

Ratings and reviews

Very useful app if you travel a lot in and out of schengen. Only criticism I have is that I can't enter dates earlier than May, and since I travel every month in and out, my allowance wasn't 90 days in May, so it makes the app useless for me in particular. I'd have to wait until my allowance resets completely, and unfortunately I don't think that's going to happen any time soon. Note to the author, if you can please move the starting date to earlier? Also add a donation button 🩷

This is an excellent app. And it gets 5 stars from me. At first, perhaps like other people, I could not fully understand with my own logical mind, how it calculated this 90 day rule. But I have checked it with the official European Commission calculator and it is absolutely correct. And very easy to use. Fantastic app.

Updated from 1 to 5 stars because I was initially incorrect in thinking the calculation wasn't applying the 180-rolling days correctly. The app developer explained why there would be a sudden increase in days available. I eventually understood. Apologies to the app people for being ignorant. It is actually a great little app!
