The Constitution of India is the supreme law of the country. It came into effect on 26 January 1950.
It lays down the framework of the government, defines the powers of different organs (Legislature, Executive, Judiciary), and guarantees Fundamental Rights and Duties to citizens.
It is the longest written Constitution in the world and ensures justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity for all.
