Unlike traditional methods that require a fine ear for sound, Precious Coin Tester analyzes the sound from a simple "ping" test and determines if your coin is made from precious metals or cheaper materials. How It Works:

1. Place your coin on the tip of your finger near your device’s microphone.
2. Tap the coin with a hard object and let it ring.
3. The app listens and analyzes the sound. Knock again when the ringing stops.

What Do the Results* Mean?
0-star: Negative result
1-star: Warning zone. You may need probably double check input parameters.
2-star: Your coin’s sound matches that of a genuine coin.
3-star: High-precision result: metal content error is under 10% for silver and under 5% for gold.

Differences between 2 Stars and 3 Stars?
2-star is a qualitative positive result. It is what traditional ping test offers.

What is this new points system per coin ping test, absolutely ridiculous, I had paid for unlimted tests for a month and see no option for that again, I will not be using or purchasing anything on this app until the flat fees are back, charging per coin is ridiculous for those with many to test.

absolute 100% garbage. I was asked by the developers to elaborate upon why I believe that this app is garbage. I have to say that the main reason is that most of the precious metals are not even available for an analysis on this app. There are many other free apps available that can do this for very wide applications. Honestly speaking, those options that are available for free are limited or require extra payment. there are better and free options online

Sooo disappointed. Used to be a great free app but now it's subscription based. I wouldn't mind paying a reasonable one time fee but having to pay a monthly(!) subscription fee? That would only make sense if I am a coin dealer or have to check a lot of coins every month. For the occasional test of a coin at the flea market the subscription price is to high. Suggestion: make a "pro" version that is subscription based and offer a "free" version that allows one to test a few coins a month.
