Squared keeps track of who paid what for whom – on the weekend trip, in the flatshare, at dinner for six. No scrap of paper, no spreadsheet, no guesswork at the end.

• Custom – you set each amount yourself
• Full – one person covers another, in either direction
The odd cent works out too: Squared distributes remainders so the shares always add up to exactly what was paid.
FRIENDS AND GROUPS
Everyone has a personal code (like #ABC123). Type in a code or an email address and you're connected. For anything involving more than two people, there are groups.
BALANCES, ALWAYS CURRENT
See at a glance who owes you and what you owe – per person and per group.
SETTLE UP & ARCHIVE
When it's over, Squared works out the shortest path for everyone to clear their balances. Instead of everyone paying everyone, only the necessary transfers remain. Open balances carry over into your friends list and stay there until they are actually paid. The group is archived and read-only – the full history stays, nothing is deleted.
NOTIFICATIONS
When someone adds a new expense, you'll know. When a group is settled, you get one message with your own open amount.
