About this app

The Flame Boss® app allows you to remotely monitor and control your cooks with any Flame Boss WiFi smoker controller. You can:
-View temperature graphs of current and past cooks
-Change the set temperature for your pit
-Text alert configuration
-Enable or disable pit and meat alerts
-Share your cooks on Facebook and Twitter
-Enable an automatic warming temp when the finished meat temp is reached
-Add, edit and update personal cook titles and notes for future reference
-Change device pin and remove shared access with other users
-Make cooks private

The Flame Boss app also works with the web-based application available at MyFlameBoss.com.

Ratings and reviews

Used to be better. The WiFi connection finally works. The graph no longer is granular like it used to be. And the bottom of the graph that used to be time is now by Date? That is totally worthless. Please fix that. Others complain about connectivity. I too have to restart the app to get an update on the cooking stats. It is usable, but have to fix some of these minor bugs.

Everything worked flawlessly for years, then an app update made it almost worthless. It constantly freezes, and wont reload unless you force close it and reopen it, which you have to do EVERY TIME you want to check temperatures. My actual device continues to keep temps independently locally, but thats not helpful when whole point of spending extra money for a cloud based controller is for overnight cooks, temperature alarms, etc, which are all now broken.

This app gets less reliable with each new release. Constantly losing connection, constantly hanging. I have to keep force-closing because they don't know how to retry a dropped network connection. Even worse, it doesn't work at all on my tablet, just gets permanently stuck on "detecting device". It's bad enough I no longer recommend the product.
