About this game

Color Cards - a color matching game where a card appears in the middle of the stage and four colored buttons wait below it. Each turn the card is filled with one of four colors and carries the name of a color printed across it, and the two do not always agree, so the line above the card states which one counts: the paint on the card or the word written on it. A ring timer over the card drains from about three seconds at the start down to under a second and a half in the later levels, and the same countdown is mirrored in the panel at the top, next to the current points and the current streak of correct taps. A tap on the matching button closes the turn and adds a base amount of points, a speed part that grows the faster the answer comes, and a small step for every correct answer already made in a row; a wrong tap or an empty countdown breaks the streak, and the button that should have been pressed flashes so the mistake is clear. A level runs twelve to sixteen turns and always plays to the end, after which a summary board shows the total points, the share of correct answers as a percentage, the longest streak and up to three stars, given at ninety, seventy and fifty percent of correct answers. Twelve levels are laid out on a board of plates, each cleared level opens the next one and keeps its stars and its best point total, so the board fills in as play goes on and everything stays in place between launches. Difficulty grows level by level: the reaction window shrinks, mismatched words come up more often, and from the sixth level the task can switch to the printed word instead of the paint. The game can be paused at any moment and picked up again from the same countdown, or left back to the main board.
