About this app
How much sugar is in this product? What is the purpose of the additive listed in the ingredients? Etika makes it easy to understand food labels and get to know the products you put in your cart better.
Scan the barcode, see the product's score and how it's calculated. Examine how sugar, salt, saturated fat, fiber, and protein affect the score individually. Learn what additives are used for and what risk class they belong to.
What can you do for free?
• Find products by scanning barcodes or searching.
• See the product's score and detailed description.
• Review nutritional values, ingredients, and additives.
• Browse categories, add products to your favorites.
• Revisit your recent searches.
• Report a product you can't find in the catalog with a single photo.
You can use Etika without creating an account.
Etika+ offers more:
• Access your search history beyond 50 records.
• Create shopping lists; see your cart score which takes product quantities into account. • Receive personal sensitivity and allergy alerts. • Discover higher-rated alternatives in the same category. • View your profile summary. • Scan barcodes and search for products without an internet connection.
What's behind the score?
60% of the score comes from nutritional quality, 30% from additive profile, and 10% from whether the product is organic or not. Calculations are done on your phone. Brand name does not change the score. There are no sponsored products or paid rankings.
Etika does not fill in missing information with guesswork. If a nutritional value required for a score is missing, it tells you which information is missing instead of generating a result.
Your browsing history remains on your device. Etika does not display ads and does not sell your personal data.
Important note
Etika does not provide medical advice. Product rating is a comparison tool based on information on the packaging; it is not a diagnosis, treatment, or dietary recommendation. Always check product packaging yourself if you have allergies.
