About this app

Common Heart is a church-centered community support app designed to connect donors with individuals and families in need through a safe, transparent, and organised platform. The app helps churches manage outreach, donations, and community support while encouraging compassion and generosity within the community.

Members in Need can create requests for support, including food, clothing, furniture, medical assistance, services, and other essential needs. Every request is reviewed and approved by the admin team before becoming visible to donors, ensuring authenticity and building trust across the platform.

Donors can browse approved requests and choose how they would like to help. Multiple donors may respond to a single need, but the Member in Need can accept support from one donor to fulfill the request completely. Once fulfilled, the request is marked as completed so no additional donations are accepted for that need.

For medical assistance, donors can securely contribute funds to help cover healthcare expenses. These medical donations are managed and approved by the admin team before being transferred to the Member in Need’s registered account, helping ensure accountability and proper distribution of funds.

The app also allows donors to contribute funds directly to the church to support church programs, outreach initiatives, and charitable activities within the community.

Common Heart includes a Praise Report feature that allows Members in Need to share appreciation for donors who fulfilled their requests. After admin approval, praise reports become visible to donors, and notifications are sent to recognize their generosity and encourage continued support.

To improve communication, the app provides secure direct messaging between donors and Members in Need, making it easier to coordinate support and assistance.

In addition to need-based donations, donors can share extra household items through the Free Items section. Shared items become visible to all Members in Need, who can contact donors directly if interested. Donors may also contribute larger assets such as vehicles and furniture directly to the church, where the church can manage and distribute donations appropriately.

For transparency and convenience, donors can view donation receipts and contribution history directly within the app settings.
