About this app

Commuza Gate is the security app for guards at estates and gated communities that use Commuza. It replaces the paper visitor book: every visitor checked, every entry and exit recorded, every patrol logged — even when the network drops.

Start your shift
• Sign in with your phone number or guard code and the 6-digit access code your manager issued
• Check in at your gate to start your shift, and leave handover notes for the next guard
• Works on a shared gate phone — each guard signs in as themselves

Visitors at the gate
• Verify a resident's visitor pass by its gate code or QR code
• Record walk-ins and ask the resident to approve them before you let them in
• Capture the visitor's ID document and photo when your community requires it
• Record every entry and exit with the time, the gate and the officer on duty
• Look up vehicle plates against the community's vehicle register
• Be warned when someone on the community's blacklist arrives, and request new blacklist entries for your manager to approve

Patrols and incidents
• Scan the QR checkpoints on your round, recording the time and place of each scan
• Report incidents from the gate as they happen
• Send an emergency alert to your community, and see alerts raised by residents

Calls
• Call a resident from the gate, and answer calls from residents

Built for the barrier
• Keeps working without a signal: verify visitors and record entries offline, and everything syncs automatically when you're back online

Getting started
Commuza Gate is for security staff at a community that uses Commuza. There is no sign-up: your community manager sets up your account and gives you your guard code and access code.
