Take control of your IoT enabled Christiania Bike with the Christiania Bikes App and experience a new way of being connected to your bike. The IoT device in the bike will enable additional safety and convenience features:
Digital ID
The unique frame number of your Christiania Bike is linked to a digital ID within the app. In case someone tries to edit the frame number on your Christiania Bike, the digital ID of the IoT device can prove that you are the owner.
Theft protection
You can use the Digital Lock feature to enable the anti-theft watchdog in the IoT device in your Christiania Bike that will send you a Movement Alert push notification in case somebody is trying to move it. If the bike has being taken from you, you can track the location of the bike via the Christiania Bikes App. If the bike is locked and stolen the IoT device will start to suppress the electrical assist of your bike.
Control
Use your device to serve as both a display and a key for your Christiania Bike. Turn the electric system on/off, control assist levels, see the current power left on the battery and turn the light on/off. Keep a record of every trip on your Christiania Bike and locate it whenever necessary.
Service
If your Christiania Bike encounters a system error, you can send failure reports over the air for easier and faster error detection. In case of new updates and features are available to the IoT device, you can receive them automatically updated over the air.
Please note:
The Christiania Bike App is only working with a Christiania Bike which has a preinstalled IoT device.
The App is free of charge for minimum 1 year. In case you wish to continue using the app after the free subscription has expired, you will get a chance to update subscription in the app. If you choose to not continue the subscription, then the app will only work based on Bluetooth, and you will lose the GPS tracking functionality and theft notifications.
In case your Christiania Bike is with our midDrive option, all features will work. In case your Christiania Bike is with our rear Drive option, the features are limited to only GPS signal and an alert if someone tries to move your Christiania Bike.
It is important to keep in mind that if the IoT device is running in the background, it will drain bike battery to keep the GPS/GSM functionality active. IoT device can survive some periods without main battery on its internal battery.
There will be new features during the life of the bike, such as auto-lock, sharing with family or remote control over GSM.
