About this app

*Please note that this application is optimized for tablets and Chromebooks. It will work on phones but may be a little hard to read until you zoom in and some of the graphics will look stretched. In other words, the bigger your screen, the better!*

Level E is an app to help anyone practice the French language exams that are given to many Canadian Federal Government Employees who need to be bilingual in their current position or in a new position. This app is also extremely useful for anyone who would like to join the Canadian Public Service but has no idea what their linguistic competency levels are (X, A, B, C or E).

What sets Level E apart from other practice exams is that each question comes with a natural language explanation for why a choice is wrong (or why it's right), what common or unusual French notion it is testing, and what "tricks" exam designers use to test your knowledge of French in a public service context... almost as if you had a French language teacher there with you!

Level E contains two multiple choice, 55-question exams - one for grammar and one for reading comprehension - modeled after current official exams. Level E also provides study lists of the most common verbs and nouns in each exam.

There are also options that allow you to make the experience behave more like a simulation of the exams or more like a study tool.

So, if you've got an exam coming up and you want to practice or if you want to know if your have a chance of passing the French written exams if you apply for that bilingual Federal Government job, Level E is for you.

Disclaimer: Level E is not affiliated with the Canadian Federal Government. It was created by a team of French teachers and editors. Any level you achieve in Level E does not guarantee the same result in the official exams. However, it is, in our opinion, an awesome study tool. If you want to learn more, visit us at www.levele.ca.
