That metallic objects can distort the device's magnetometer readings and hence the compass.
To use compass for Android, your device must have magnetic sensor inside to read earth magnetic field. If your device (SS galaxy J1, J2, J3, J5, J7...) does not have magnetic sensor compass app will not work. Please don't write bad comments, it's not our fault!

Ratings and reviews

The worst ads for such a basic app. Open it to full screen ad. banner ads on app. Then select compass and boom another full screen ad. I'll just use a stick instead.

Really not worth the money for ad-free and compass is problematic at times. Especially for finding the Qibla for Salat. I purchased the ad free version and it still bombarded me. Also, the compass is very poorly calibrated and within 2 metres from the first try, on a flat surface, elevated or otherwise, the compass shows significantly different readings sadly.

Forget to cancel within 3 days so had to pay I think $48. THATS PURE THEFT. There are no settings, no details or instructions on how to get the best out of the app. No night vision colour settings (I use for star gazing) and needs to re-load every time you tab in & out. Would also like to see sky elevation added.
