About this app

TxAdvance is a radio frequency transmitter manager that helps you quickly get the best frequencies by scanning the RF spectrum and automatically calculating the intermodulations products of your selected frequencies.

Radio frequency spectrum
The RF scan is using the Software Defined Radio technology which allows quick and precise scan. Just plug a compatible* and inexpensive SDR USB dongle to your phone to start analyzing any part of the RF spectrum from 50 to 1300 MHz with a 5 kHz resolution.

Transmitters coordination
Make sure that all of your transmitters are free of any of intermodulation (2TX3order, 2TX5order, 2TX7order and 3TX3order). Calculation and analysis is automatic.
For each transmitter, you can see its available channels with the amount of noise and the intermodulation status.
You can coordinate an unlimited amount of transmitters from any brand.

Auto mode
TXAdvance can automatically find the best frequencies for your transmitters by analyzing the RF spectrum and avoid intermodulation products.
You can also choose your frequencies manually.

Live Check
Turn your Android device into a Real-Time RF Analyzer.

TXAdvance Scan Exchange - TASE
A collaborative worldwide map of scans : anticipate your wireless transmitters coordination by downloading and importing geo-tagged and time-stamped RF spectrum scans from all over the world.
Upload scans directly from TXAdvance to the TASE.

Exclusions lists
User can set bands of frequencies to avoid. It can be TV channels or any custom bands.

Import / Export
Scans and lists of transmitters can be exported and imported for back-up or sharing purposes in proprietary TXA format or CSV format for import in third-party softwares.

To use TXAdvance, you will need :
- an Android phone with OTG support running at least Android 6.0
- an SDR USB dongle with a RTL2832U chipset and R820T2 tuner such as the RTL-SDR blog v3 (Many other models exist)
- a USB OTG cable
- the free SDR driver from Martin Marinov : https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=marto.rtl_tcp_andro&hl=fr&gl=US

I have had a great time using this app. I don't use it all the time in the field but when I have more than 4 wireless out, I rely on this to get some idea of what I can actually get in the spectrum. I also live in a difficult area for RF so this is a must buy. Sucks it's only android but it justifies for me to have a green bubble in group chats lol

This is a fantastic program for frequency scanning and coordination. Didn't have a compatible device, so I purchased a cheap new android phone, along with a compatible SDR dongle and OTG cable. Even with the additional expense of hardware, it still cost me less than comparable portable scanners, all while providing more utility with the ability to coordinate transmitters. very happy with the purchase, and I look forward to having peace-of-mind on location.

I've only started using TXAdvance but so far it's been a great help. It's so convenient to have a way to both scan the rf spectrum and get coordinated frequencies using only my phone and a small dongle. Way better than using RF Explorer and interpolating results by eye. The app and the dongle (available on Amazon for around $35) are a valuable addition to the sound mixer's toolkit.

Thank you Tony!

What’s new

-Added a REF option in Loop scan mode, allowing the original scan to be displayed in red,
-Added a warning indicator when a TX frequency is outside its own bounds, since changing the low and/or high frequency limits does not automatically reset the TX frequency to 0 if it is out of range,
-Minor bug fixes.
