About this app

BiblioTe.Ca., where Te.Ca. stands for Telling Calabria, is the app that allows users to consult the bibliographic and digital heritage of the Casa della Cultura in Roccella Jonica (RC).
BiblioTe.Ca. aims to protect and enhance the vision of Calabria, a land of profound contradictions but immense cultural and scenic beauty, which travelers from all over the world have conveyed through their works.
These travelers' works, especially Edward Lear's "Diary of a Walking Tour," have had the great merit of exporting, by narrating and depicting in other contexts and cultures, the human, landscape, cultural, architectural, and productive profile of the Calabrians and Calabria, and their evolution over the centuries, the result of profound transformations dictated by different dominations.
Added to this is a substantial literary output from Calabrian authors, from the best-known like Corrado Alvaro, Mario La Cava, and Saverio Strati to more recent authors like Pasquino Crupi, who have managed to delve even deeper into the hearts and souls of Calabrians, recounting the most intimate emotions and the legitimate expectations, ambitions, and concerns of the men and women of Calabria, all united by a deep connection to their land.
The purpose of Telling Calabria is precisely to tell the story of Calabria to those who wish to discover or explore it further and to provide, through the digital tool of the App, the tools for understanding the bibliographical and digital heritage available at the Casa della Cultura in Roccella Jonica (RC).
The BiblioTe.Ca. also hosts a Digital Storytelling laboratory, multimedia stations, and an e-book station, in addition to aspiring to be a brainstorming and innovation zone and a coworking area.
The BiblioTe.Ca. It also includes an open section, called Street e-library, which allows users to enjoy digital books, audio, and videos, which can be consulted through QR codes in the "choose, frame, download, read" mode from thematic panels located in specific areas of Roccella Jonica, which can be identified on the map in the specific section of the app.
