I have the Suunto vyper dive computer. The dm5 Suunto software was so buggy I looked for an alternative. I have found divemate to be exactly what I wanted. It downloads all my dives from the computer without issues. Its easy to use and it works perfectly on my android tablet and phone with the Suunto cable. Very happy with this app. Also a quick menu select and it's backed up to drop box.
Not suitable for technical diving. Only allows the user to record data from one tank. Graphs are poorly scaled, very ugly and do not display deco data or gases or pressure. For Shearwater Perdix users, it's much better to use the Shearwater Cloud beta app - still not perfect but much better than this. £5 for the transfer pack was a real waste of money.
Does not support technical diving other than being to mark a dive as requiring deco. It would be great if functionality could be developed to have multiple mixes and record planned deco schedules. From a recreational only perspective, it's a great app.
It's fine for basic dive data, no modern driver support for Bluetooth. Basically a good user interface for manual up load but not really up to date with modern technology which seems to be the case of more dive logs. Something that dive instructors are constantly harping for divers to maintain, but no company has found away to connect to dive gear even though a lot of computers now supposedly have the capability for data transfer.
I love that I can upload dives from my computer, but I wish it would track more of the uploaded details I also wish that I could select a dive site and see all of my dives at that site. Drop downs are weird and unpredictable.
Works well with my Suunto computer
