Ladakh has launched a centralised vehicle location tracking system with emergency (SOS) for safety of traveling public, particularly women & girl children. The system is integrated with State Emergency Response System (ERSS). On press of panic button fitted in all public & commercial vehicles like buses, taxis, maxi cabs, trucks, etc., the emergency response & law enforcement teams of the State Police and Transport Department come into action to address the emergency. Vehicle location Tracking Device (VLTD) provides advanced fleet tracking solutions utilizing the latest and most accurate IRNSS tracking technology. Vehicle owners can track their fleet through Mobile or Web applications. Citizens can track their movement of public service vehicles eg : School Buses, Local or Interstate Buses, etc. using the Mobile & Web applications. Vehicle tracking ensures safety & security of the traveling people and provides for various features for all stakeholders.
