About this app

Connect Meter Reader is the field app for meter readers who record electricity readings for their organization's billing portal.

Scan a meter with the camera and the app reads the digits from the display, so readings are faster and have fewer typing mistakes. Every reading keeps a photo of the meter as proof.

How it works
• Connect to your organization by scanning its QR code
• Sign in with your employee ID and password
• Choose your site, project, service, block and reading month
• Work through your meter list and record each reading
• Readings upload to the portal automatically when you are online

Features
• Camera scan: photograph the meter, crop the display and confirm the reading
• Manual entry when a display can't be scanned
• Works offline: readings are saved on the phone and pushed when a connection is back
• Sync screen shows what is waiting, what was sent and what needs a retry
• Progress card shows how many meters are read and uploaded for the month
• Search meters by property number or meter reference
• Meters already read for the month are marked as done, so nothing is read twice
• Switch between your assigned sites from Home, Settings or the session screen
• Free up phone storage by removing photos already saved on the portal

Who it's for
Connect Meter is for staff of organizations that use the Connect billing portal. You need an account from your organization to sign in. For login or route problems, contact your supervisor or the billing office.
