Overcomer: Chat & Sim Economy

OvercomerCW

About this app

Overcomer is a multilingual social app: private messaging, group chat and Moments, combined with a simulated economy you can explore together with friends. Everything in the app that carries a value is a simulation, and no real money is involved.

Chat and group chat
• Private chats protected with end-to-end encryption
• Group chats with @mentions, group notices, admins and join approval
• Text, voice messages, photos, video, files, location and contact cards
• Quote, forward, recall, favorites, stickers and message search
• Built-in translation and voice-to-text for messages in other languages

Contacts and Moments
• Add friends by QR code, personal link or invite code
• Contacts organized A to Z, with name cards and friend requests
• Moments: share photos, videos and updates with friends, with likes and comments
• Choose who can see your Moments, and block or report when needed

Discover: a simulated economy
• Simulated Market: see how consumer spending becomes producer income, using simulated Credit Points
• Time World: an interactive map that plays out how the world economy changes over time
• Youth Community: a knowledge base of cards, articles and videos for college students and young people
• Faith Channel: readings and discussion about values, growth and community
• Idle Items: a second-hand exchange experiment settled entirely in simulated Credit Points

Languages and privacy
• Interface available in English, Chinese (Simplified), Arabic, Persian, French, German, Hindi, Japanese and Korean, switchable at any time
• Sign in with a phone number or email address
• In-app reporting and content moderation help keep the community safe
• Request account deletion at any time from Settings: a 30-day cooling-off period follows, then your personal data is permanently erased (records required by law are kept in minimized form)

Simulation notice
Overcomer is a simulation demo product. Any figures shown in the app, including Credit Points, wallet balances, equity values and transaction records, are simulated data and do not represent real currency or property rights of any kind. The app does not provide or involve any real payments, receipts, lending, withdrawals, interest or investment services.

What’s new

What's new in 1.1.3
Chat is no longer end-to-end encrypted: new private and group messages and attachments are processed and stored by the server in plaintext (30-day retention; HTTPS still protects transmission).
After upgrading, chats sent through the old encrypted channel cannot be decrypted and are removed from this device once you open chat and confirm the notice. Screenshot or save anything you want to keep before upgrading. Sign-in, friends, groups and registration records are unaffected.
