Contactless Pager turns your phone into the pager a venue would otherwise hand you on a plastic disc.
Scan the code at the counter and your phone becomes your pager. Go and sit down, step outside, browse the shop next door - when it is your turn, your phone rings, buzzes and shows you who is calling.
How it works
1. Order, and scan the code the venue shows you.
2. Your phone is now your pager. Close the app if you like.
3. When it is your turn, it rings - even with the screen off.
Why it beats a plastic pager
• Nothing to carry, return, charge or lose
• Works out of range of the counter, because it goes over the internet
• A real ring and vibration, not a silent banner you might miss
• Nothing to hand over, so nothing to clean between guests
For any queue, not just food
Restaurants and food courts, bakeries and takeaways, click-and-collect counters, clinics and waiting rooms - anywhere someone is told "we will call you".
Private by design
No account. No sign-up. No name, email or phone number. The app never asks for your location. All it holds is an anonymous id so the right phone rings, and that is deleted automatically once you stop using it.
Note: you need a venue that shows Contactless Pager codes. The app cannot page you on its own - a venue has to put a code in front of you first.
Your phone is the pager. Scan once, get buzzed when it is your turn.
