You don't lose touch with people on purpose. It happens quietly, while you're paying attention to something else.
Orbital is a personal relationship manager for one person — your friends and your working contacts in the same place, visible to nobody but you. It does two things: it shows you who you're drifting from, and it makes it two taps to record that you reached out.
How it works
Set a cadence for each person: weekly, every two weeks, monthly, quarterly, twice a year, or yearly. That's how often you want to speak, and it's the only setting that matters.
The People list shows everyone with how long it's been, in plain sight, and one line about the last time you spoke. Anyone past their cadence is marked past due.
Logging a reach-out is one sheet — how you got in touch, when, and anything worth remembering for next time. Add an open thread if you left something unresolved, with a date to come back to it.
Upcoming is a single list: people coming due, birthdays, and dated follow-ups, in the order they arrive. No calendar grid.
Orbits is the overview. Everyone is a dot on a ring, close in or far out depending on how often you speak. Logging a reach-out pulls a dot back to its ring, and that's the whole reward.
Before you reach out
Open someone's page and you see your own last few notes and any open threads, exactly as you wrote them. Orbital never drafts a message for you and never sends anything on your behalf. The reaching out is yours.
Quiet by design
One check-in notification a week, on the day and time you choose, and a note on the morning of a birthday. Never more than one a day, ever. Nothing is counted, ranked, or rewarded, and the strongest thing Orbital will ever say about a person is past due.
No message drafting. No introductions between contacts. No deal stages or pipelines. Nothing to keep up, and nothing that breaks if you stop. Relationships aren't a game, and Orbital doesn't treat them like one.
Nothing is shared, either. No teams, no invites, no social layer. Nobody knows they're in your Orbital.
Your data
Everything you record is stored in your account and synced across your devices. Nobody else can see it. You can export or delete all of it at any time.
Orbital works offline. Every screen reads from your phone, so nothing waits on a connection, and your other devices catch up when you're back on one. Export is JSON or CSV. Deleting your account is in Settings, and it removes your data from the server.
Price
Free for 30 days, everything included, with no card to start and nothing charged automatically. After that Orbital is $15 a year. If you decide not to subscribe, your data stays where it is and the app becomes read-only, so you can still read everything and export all of it.
