Controlant BioTrack is a mobile biological sample monitoring solution designed to ensure the viability and safety of bio-samples during transportation to the lab.
Bio-samples play a key role in diagnosing medical conditions, identifying treatment plans, and developing new treatments. Samples can include blood draws, serum, urine, biopsies, tissue and DNA.
Collecting and delivering biomedical samples to respective labs is time-sensitive and challenging. One central lab can serve several clinics and safe transportation to the lab is essential.
The solution:
Real-time temperature monitoring devices in transport boxes accompanied by an easy-to-use driver app. One device for all temperature ranges (frozen, chilled, ambient).
When starting a collection route, the driver assigns a Controlant device to a storage box.
Each pickup in the collection route is then scanned into the box via app and the driver can react in real time to temperature notifications. Similarly, samples are checked out of boxes when delivered to lab in a simple one step process.
Sample management overview and real time visibility is available via platform.
In addition, historical route information is provided to facilitate process optimization.
