Slide Remote works by sending commands from your phone to a lightweight companion app running on your Mac. The companion app simulates keystrokes (Right Arrow, Left Arrow, etc.), meaning it works seamlessly with any software you use, including PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, and PDF viewers—without any special setup.

Setup is easy:
1. Download Slide Remote for Mac (companion app).
2. Open the Mac app to display the connection QR code.
3. Open this app on your phone, tap "Scan to connect" or select your Mac under "Nearby devices".
4. Start your slideshow on your Mac and control it from your phone!

Note: Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network. For venue Wi-Fi networks with client isolation, easily create a local hotspot on your Mac and connect your phone directly.
