Background voice recorder is a voice recording application that helps you easily record voice with one tap. Useful features include continuous recording while the app is in the background, scheduled recording and support for multiple languages.

Love the app and have used for a long time. Weird thing after updating my Galaxy A51 to Android 11 though. Recordings don't automatically upload to either Google Drive or Dropbox. When I make a recording while in the app, I do see an error right after conversion to mp3. "Error! File is not uploaded." Manual upload from recordings list works fine, so likely not a permissions issue.

Straight up doesn't work when in background. I've given this app every possible permission and access under the sun, turned off battery optimization services for it; locked it to stay always on, added to "never kill" list... all for nothing. You start the recording, turn off the screen and it dies off and stops recording in a couple of minutes. If I keep the screen on (and the app on screen) tapping on it every couple of seconds, then it works, but this isn't the functionality I was looking for.

This is literally hands down the coolest as the best recording app that I have ever found, and believe me I've tried countless others. If you just download it and see all the extra features it has, which are in the description, my guess is you will most likely agree. And since it's free, what is there to lose? Other than a little time, but a quote on that which my husband is the creator of says, "Nothing is a waste of time because time was meant to be wasted.
