About this app

Measure the symmetry of your face from a single selfie, and see what each side really looks like.

ā–  Finds the baseline, scores from 0 to 100
Symmi first locates the baseline running through your glabella and nose tip. It calculates left-right variance around that axis and converts it into a symmetry score from 0 to 100. Because it pinpoints 478 facial landmarks, your eyes, nose, mouth and contour are each read separately.

ā–  Your left face and your right face
Folding one side along the baseline builds two perfectly symmetrical faces. Put the original next to the left mirror and the right mirror, and differences a bathroom mirror never reveals become obvious at a glance.

ā–  Feature symmetry and symmetry types
Eyes, nose, mouth and contour each get their own symmetry reading, along with which side is dominant. Your score and dominant side combine into one of 12 symmetry types.

ā–  Photos never leave this device
Everything from landmark detection to mirror composition is calculated on the device. There is no transmission that sends photos, coordinates or results to a server. No sign-up, no login.

ā–  Keep a record and watch it shift
Save a reading on your device and revisit it by date. Expression and posture nudge the numbers a little every day, so follow the trend over time. Records can be deleted one at a time or all at once, and they disappear when the app is uninstalled.

ā–  Share the result card
Your score, both mirrors and the feature readings come together in a single card image you can save or share.

ā–  Also included
• A reminder notification at the time you choose
• Light, dark, or follow-system screen theme
• Shoot straight away with the front camera, or pick a photo from your album
• Shutter sound and auto-save to history can each be toggled

ā–  Good to know
Symmi is an app for fun and reference. It was not built for medical diagnosis or treatment, and its readings are not medical information. Facing the camera straight on in good light gives steadier results.
