About this app
No standing in line at the booth. FourCut Film lets you shoot four cuts on the spot, choose a frame and a filter, and turn them into one sheet that looks printed.
■ Two ways to start
Take photos: set the interval between cuts and the app shoots four in a row. Any cut you don't like, reshoot it right there.
Use gallery photos: build a strip from photos you already have. Long press a cut to change the order.
■ Four frames
Classic 4-cut: the tall vertical photo booth strip
2×2 grid: four square cuts
Vertical 2-cut: a long strip that holds just two cuts
Square 4-cut: four cuts on one square sheet
■ Frame backgrounds
Pick your own color for the Solid background, or lay on a Basic, Cherry blossom, or Christmas background and change it with the season.
■ Twelve filters
Original, Mono, Sepia, Cool, Warm, Pastel, Film grain, Vivid, Faded, Cinema, Retro 70, High key. Change one tone and the whole mood changes.
■ Fine tuning
Pinch and drag inside each cut to set the framing. In any cut you don't like, swap just the photo. Adjust the Retouch strength, add or remove the date, and write your own line of text along the bottom.
■ Save, print, share
Save straight to your gallery. You can also Save 4×6 for print, and turning on the cut guide draws lines showing where to cut. Print at a neighborhood photo shop or a self serve kiosk and hand the cuts around. Send a strip to Instagram Stories, or share it with any other app.
■ What you make stays
My strips keeps every strip you have made. If the source photos are still on the device, open one again, change the frame or the filter, and save it.
■ One reminder a day
Set a time and the app nudges you once at that hour, to fold today into four cuts. Turn it off if you don't need it.
■ Light or dark
Choose Light, Dark, or follow the system setting.
■ Your photos stay on your device
Shooting, filtering, compositing, and saving all happen on the device. Your photos are never sent to a server. The app does not ask for storage permission to read your whole gallery. When you pick photos it uses the Android photo picker, so only the photos you chose are handed to the app.
