The Edsby app has many of the capabilities of the main Edsby web browser interface. Some complex features for certain types of users, such as the Edsby gradebook used by teachers, aren't available on devices with small screen sizes.

I never experienced any inconveniences until now. The screen gets distorted and content/things you can tap dont show. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but the problem still occurs. I have some screenshots of the problems if you would like to see. Edit: I've gone to the website and the screen distortion still occurs! Again, I have screenshots if you would like to see.

Were you trying to connect to Hillsborough County's Edsby system? Because on Thurs, Dec. 19th, around the time of your review, Hillsborough had problems with its Edsby system for about 3 hours. Icons may have looked out of place on mobile and web browser logins. But everything was straightened out quickly. It's not an inherent problem with the app.

The reviews give it 2 stars, but for a free app, it isn't too bad. Of course a computer would be better to upload your homework files or what not, but on phone, it does its job. I can check notifications easily and make comments. 4/5 stars because suddenly my Edsby started malfunctioning and giving me a blank screen. Trying to uninstall and reinstall.

You should never need to reinstall the Edsby app. If you're getting undesired behavior, which is often the result of network problems, simply quit the app and restart it.

The features are not user friendly. Photos posted by the teacher have to be opened individually instead of a very simple sliding option. Notifications keep failing which makes me miss important messages if I don't open the app. I have to remind myself to keep opening the app through out the day. No options to edit sent messages for quick corrections. Etc. Etc. Etc. Very poorly made app from developers/designers who seem very new in business, with no user behavior considerations.

The best, richest Edsby user experience remains via desktop or laptop web browser. Point a browser to your Edsby URL, in the form of http://your-server.edsby.com, where your-server is your Edsby server address.
