About this app

Point RTK Pulse at any NTRIP caster or mountpoint and find out, in seconds, whether the correction stream is healthy — and what is wrong when it is not. No receiver required.

RTK Pulse runs the diagnostic over your phone's own connection, so you can check a caster before you drive to site, while your rover sits in the case, or when a survey stops working and you need to know whether the network is to blame.

WHAT IT CHECKS

• Plain-English diagnosis. A sentence that names the failing step: unreachable host, wrong port, rejected credentials, or a stream that connects but never sends corrections.
• RTCM message breakdown — which message types arrive, at what rate, and whether the set is complete enough for a fix, including the base or VRS station message.
• Latency and correction age — percentiles across the whole run, not one lucky sample, so an intermittently stalling stream cannot hide behind an average.
• Signal, satellite by satellite — per-constellation C/N0, every satellite the base broadcasts, and its strongest signal on each frequency band.
• Ready for RTK, or not — a dual-frequency suitability verdict, cycle-slip continuity and MSM level: the checks that decide whether a receiver can actually resolve a fix.
• Network-RTK aware — for VRS and MAC mountpoints the app sends the GGA position the protocol requires, then reports whether the network answered.
• NTRIP v1, v2 and TLS — both framings, plus TLS on 443 and 2102 with strict certificate validation. Local base stations on your own network work too.

THREE STEPS IN THE FIELD

1. Enter the caster — host, port, your NTRIP username and password, or open a saved profile. Plaintext targets get an explicit warning that credentials travel in the clear.
2. Pick a mountpoint — the live sourcetable is fetched from the caster and sorted by distance, as a list or on a map. Network-RTK mountpoints are detected and handled.
3. Read the verdict — one sentence you can act on, stat cards for the detail, and a step-by-step breakdown when the test fails.

FREE, WITH NO SIGN-IN WALL

Every feature is free: unlimited tests, saved profiles, session history with one-tap repeat, the mountpoint map, and a PDF or text report you can send to your provider. An optional account backs up your profiles and history and restores them on a new phone.

HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS NOT

The test runs over this phone's data connection, not your receiver. RTK Pulse does not talk to your rover or controller, does not compute a position fix, and cannot tell you whether your radio, antenna or setup is at fault. A clean verdict means the caster and your mobile connection are healthy — no more, no less. Every verdict and report says so.

YOUR CREDENTIALS AND POSITION

NTRIP passwords stay on the device, in the Android keystore. They leave it only toward the caster you asked to test — never to our servers, not even with an account.

Connecting to a network-RTK mountpoint sends your position to that caster operator, because the protocol requires it. By default it is rounded to about a kilometre first, and the app shows you exactly what the caster will receive.
