David, the protagonist, receives a letter, and returns to the town which he hasn’t seen for ages. The once lively carnival is now deserted. Weird things happen during this nostalgia trip and old memories keep flashing back. He must find the truth. 

With the story unveils itself piece by piece, will David hold the courage to face everything?

Are his memories real, or are they missing a piece, which may have been kept in a small box?

Christopher Nolan wrote in his film Following: Everybody has a box, which holds their big secrets.

And here we present this box to you.

All you need to do, is open it, take whatever in it, and return to the White Bird Carnival with David.

Oh and of course, it is locked with a combination, which perhaps you have to find first.

Big fan of cotton games but this one is a letdown. Control/navigation is hideous, little idea as to what to do/how to proceed since there is hardly any direction. 'scenes' are glitchy and unresponsive at times or touches get interpreted for swiping to a different rather than interaction within the one at hand. Just not the typical cotton game gold standard game imo. Didn't even desire to play it through. Refunded and Uninstalled

Beautiful but I've no idea what it's for. The puzzles were sparse and oblique. I had to use a walkthrough to solve them and even that gave no insight into the logic or reasoning behind them. The game is lovely to use but seems like there is a lot missing. The ability to go back in time wasn't necessary and the plot was flimsy. I love Cotton Game and I was expecting something more complex in story.

The layout of this game, the way its done is different but works so perfectly. It's more of a interactive story, you pay attention to what's being said and what's going on, and you will notice codes or information that is used on the interactive segments, and you cam easily skip to a previous chapter to look for clues. The story is dark and interesting and the ending....just wow. This game is a 10/10 for me.
