Send files and folders to any device — phone, PC, Mac, Linux, or web browser. No signup, no account, no size limit. FileBolt is a fast, end-to-end encrypted peer-to-peer file transfer app for everyone.
Pair two devices with a 6-digit code or a QR scan, then send photos, videos, documents, APKs, ZIPs, or whole folders directly. On the same Wi-Fi, FileBolt uses LAN discovery for full local network speed. On different networks, it falls back to an encrypted internet relay so the transfer still completes — even behind strict firewalls.
Your files go directly between devices over WebRTC with DTLS-SRTP end-to-end encryption. They never sit on our servers. We do not store, scan, or see what you send.

WHY FILEBOLT
Most file sharing apps want your email, push ads, or upload your files to the cloud first. FileBolt does none of that. Files move peer-to-peer between the sender and the receiver. If both devices are on the same Wi-Fi, the transfer never leaves your local network. If they are not, the relay only forwards encrypted data — we cannot read it.
There is no upload step and no waiting for a cloud round trip. The transfer starts as soon as the other side accepts.
USE CASES
• Move photos and videos from your Android phone to a Windows or Mac computer
• Send large video files, game captures, or design files between laptops
• Share an APK, PDF, or ZIP with a friend without a messenger app re-compressing it
• Transfer a folder of project files between Linux and macOS
• Send a file from your phone to a desktop in another office through the encrypted relay
• Receive files in a browser tab on any device without installing anything
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open FileBolt on both devices (or open the web app on the receiver).
2. Show or scan a QR code, or type the 6-digit pair code.
3. Pick the files or folders to send and tap Send.
4. The receiver accepts and the transfer starts directly between devices.
PRIVACY
• No account creation, ever
• No tracking of file names or contents
• End-to-end encryption on every transfer, local and relayed
• Open peer-to-peer protocol — your data does not get stored on our infrastructure
CROSS-PLATFORM
FileBolt runs on Android, Windows, macOS, Linux, and any modern web browser. The same pair code works across all of them, so you can send a file from your Android phone to a MacBook, a Linux desktop, or a friend's browser tab with one flow.
PERMISSIONS
FileBolt asks only for what it needs to send and receive files: storage access to read the files you choose, and local network access for LAN discovery. Camera access is optional and is only used when you scan a pair QR code.
Whether you are moving a folder of 4K videos to your editing PC, sending an APK to a tester, or just getting a photo off your phone without a USB cable, FileBolt aims to be the simplest, most private way to do it.
Free. No signup. No size limit. No cloud.
