About this app
The Bench is a working bench for craft cocktails: five measurement tools that show the numbers behind a great drink, built for bartenders, bar managers and serious home enthusiasts.
BALANCE — Design a drink and read its ABV, sugar, acid and dilution as you build. Check the result against reference targets for classic styles — sour, spirit-forward, highball and more — and see exactly which lever to pull when a spec is off. Save what works and send it straight to Batch.
BATCH — Scale any cocktail by servings, by total volume, or by bottles of spirit. The batch database ships with a library of classics, handles pre-dilution for freezer batches, and tells you how much water to add so the batched pour matches the stirred or shaken original.
JUICE — A citrus yield estimator that converts fruit counts to juice volume, a gel clarification guide for turning cloudy juice crystal clear, and an acid adjustment calculator for matching one juice's acidity to another — the technique behind lime-strength orange juice and clarified sparkling cocktails.
CARBONATE — Carbonation pressure by ABV and temperature, the dilution ratio that makes a carbonated cocktail taste right, and the practical shortcuts for force-carbonating kegs and bottles.
REFERENCE — Syrup ratios, acid solutions, saline, batching rules, style targets and the ingredient library: ABV, sugar and acid figures for spirits, liqueurs, juices and syrups, all in one table.
