Wait, if this game is NOT chess, then what is it? It's a mind blowing puzzle game with some simple chess rules and a few special ingredients to make it fun and challenging for everyone!

•How to play?
You start with one single piece. Across the board, there are a few chess pieces strategically placed. When you take a chess piece, you become that piece and inherit its abilities. The level is complete when you collect the coin.

•Who is this for?
It doesn’t matter if you have no idea how to play chess or if you are a chess grandmaster. This game is for everyone. The tutorial covers all the required information in a fun, interactive way.

•Challenging?
While this game is not chess, some levels will have a higher difficulty, requiring careful planning and strategy, making this a great way to put your brain muscle to work.

Ratings and reviews

There are a couple of problems keeping me from giving 5 stars. The main issue I have is that even the hardest puzzles are quite easy. Another issue I had was that the title animation played every time you went to the main menu (including after changing settings) and could not be skipped which was a bit annoying. It also only displayed the legal moves intermittently and would not always display all of the legal moves (especially with rooks), this could be an issue for newer chess players.

Overall good puzzle game for anyone that knows the basic movements of chess pieces. Very interesting concept. Game runs a bit slow and crashes if you run it for longer than about 10 minutes, but that's plenty of time to complete several levels. I didn't find it very difficult aside from level 98 when I stared at my screen long enough for the 5 minute battery saver mode to kick in. A good short level game you can pop out when you have just a few minutes to play.

Good game, but there are a few small things that need fixing. First, speed up the menus. It takes far too long to get into the game for me to want to even open the app. Second, the next level button at the end of each level should really take you to the next level and not to level select. Maybe add a second option for level select? Lastly, add a setting to turn of the vibrate functionality. Also, label menu buttons maybe? Cool idea though!

•Level Pack and New game mode: Sequence mode: discover a new way to play Not Chess. Would love to hear your feedback on this; There are a few coins on the board; players must carefully plan and create a strategy to collect all the coins using the limited moves available.
•Hide/Show guides: Up for a challenge? Try hiding the guides in the Settings for extra difficulty.
