About this app

The Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Department (FW&AD) acts as the nodal agency for ensuring timely and equitable availability of fertilizers to farmers in the state. Currently, the fertilizer distribution process involves multiple stakeholders, including fertilizer manufacturers, government networks (MARKFED, MP Agro, Primary Agricultural Credit Societies - PACS), and private retailers.

Despite this, the current system faces challenges such as unequal distribution, lack of real-time monitoring, and delays in timely availability to farmers. As a result, farmers experience fertilizer shortages and distribution delays, negatively impacting agricultural production.

To address these challenges, the department has proposed controlling fertilizer distribution based on farmers' land record information and seasonal cropping patterns. This system will ensure that fertilizer supply is aligned with actual requirements, thereby promoting efficiency, transparency, and accountability.
