Natural Carbon Recycling and the CROPS Method

The CROPS Method - Crop Residue Ocean Permanent
Sequestration – leverages the entirely natural
process of photosynthesis to capture atmospheric
carbon.

The Natural Carbon Cycle:
Plants use sunlight to absorb atmospheric CO2 and
create cellulosic plant material - the basic constituent
of food, wood and natural fibers. Oxygen is released
into the atmosphere during this process. Carbon
Dioxide is absorbed by growing plant material (grass,
trees, growing crops, algae, etc.) wherever there is
sunlight. The color change from brown to green in
the illustration shows the enhanced carbon capture
occurring during summer crop cultivation in the
northern hemisphere.
