Crashes during the ticket buying process yet still charges my card!! I am a heavy user of trains and used to use Crosscountry to book all of my tickets as they had a good app, and charged no fees for amending bookings. I no longer use them because of this garbage which was released last year replacing the previous excellent app, & has continued to be useless through multiple updates, and crucially, amending tickets is still broken requiring a phone call to make any changes.

The CrossCountry app exploits a system that has poor integration with bus transport: you are charged an admin fee of £1 when adding on a plus-bus ticket as the system (or maybe CrossCountry's app provider) can't generate a plus-bus QR code on the app. I decided to buy my anytime return ticket instead in person at Birmingham New Steet station. The staff member behind the counter advised me that none of the station's ticket machines will sell the customer a plus-bus ticket.

Since they updated the app pretty much every single aspect has gotten worse. * Refunds and amendments no longer work in the app (just errors out at some point). You'll have to call support, even they can't amend tickets anymore. The process is to buy a new ticket, call support and have them refund the old ticket. * Journe tracking is broken (delays, cancellations, etc. are hard to find) * Notifications are broken. * there's plenty more than I could fit in 500 character.
