BCS2026 is the British Cardiovascular Society’s annual conference, the UK’s leading and largest cardiovascular event.
This year's theme is 'Staying Alive?' and over three days will celebrate our successes in managing cardiovascular disease, but also explore areas where progress is needed, and even ask whether we now need to move from merely staying alive to exploring other targets for treatment to the benefit of our patients.
Taking place at Manchester Central in England between Monday 1 and Wednesday 3 June 2026, the conference provides high quality cardiology education across six conference tracks, with additional courses, hot topic presentations on key issues and industry sponsored symposia.
The conference attracts over 2,500 healthcare professionals, mainly consultant and resident doctor cardiologists, and includes cardiovascular nurses, basic and translational scientists, cardiac physiologists and scientists, and primary care staff.
High profile speakers from the UK and overseas head the programme, including those from the European Society of Cardiology, Irish Cardiac Society, American College of Cardiology and Cardiological Society of India. The educational programme spans the cardiology curriculum to fulfil the needs of both resident doctors and consultants. The Education Zone is a valued highlight, offering tailored, one-to-one, hands-on training for simulator and imaging modalities - in 2026 it offers new masterclasses on specific aspects of training.
The BCS2026 app enables conference delegates to see the programme both at-a-glance and in detail, including information about the speakers and exhibitors. It will enable delegates to bookmark sessions to attend and can schedule reminders, meaning fewer missed sessions and training opportunities. The BCS will also send regular updates through the app about key conference highlights to help ensure you make the most of your time.
